This is the heart of the timing system. All system elements connect to Quantum.
Supplied with cables to connect to external battery and PC. With download, common libraries and swimming software.
A main and backup power supply are recommended.
Notes: Supplied without power supply. A PC is required to interface with Quantum.
Quantum is certainly the most powerful and flexible of aquatics timing device. Quantum-SW has been specifically configured to meet the requirements of aquatics disciplines, comprising swimming, synchronised swimming, diving, synchronised diving and water polo. With the operational sports software installed in the laptop, rule changes can be rapidly accommodated and customer systems updated.
The Quantum device is an intelligent input/output interface with an onboard buffer memory. Timing data is recorded for each input port and identified with a unique alphanumeric code. Data from the Quantum interface is transmitted to the associated computer via a standard serial line. All data processing then takes place in the computer. The quantity of data stored (i.e. number of races or competitions) is only limited by the size of the hard drive, enabling results from previous races to be recalled for examination on the computer screen, for re-printing or re-transmission to the scoreboard or results system. The Quantum concept is protected by a number of International Patents and the Quantum interface is fully RoHS and CE compliant.
The Quantum concept enables start lists and event data including title and records to be loaded into the main Quantum database. This enables a full result to be generated by the device, including competitor names - with this data available for transmission to the main results printer or to a full matrix scoreboard. Protocol information can be provided to designers of external results systems to enable start lists to be downloaded from the results system into the Quantum database and for timing data to be uploaded from Quantum into the results system.
